On Thursday, we made our very own butter!
We sat in a circle and each child took a turn pouring heavy cream into a mason jar.
Once everyone had a turn pouring the cream, we put the lid on the jar and shook it like crazy!
At first we could hear the cream sloshing in the jar.
But the more we shook, the less we heard sloshing and the thicker the cream looked.
After 10 minutes of shaking the jar, we opened it to find this:
